Haven’t you heard yet? Today is the best day known to man: National Coffee Day!
I am ashamed and embarrassed to admit that had it not been for Eric Anderson’s post over on Pownce I wouldn’t even have known that this glorious holiday was upon us!
(By the way; Eric Anderson has some really awesome Pownceage…and his site is packed full of awesome stuff. He really seems to be an super cool guy with an amazing amount of killer links to things all over the Net. [He’s a designer, too! w00t!] I highly recommend reading what he’s got to say!)
Anyway, back to this glorious holiday! Coffee….ahhh, yes. The beverage of life. As anyone who really knows me knows, I am an avid coffee drinker. I average 2-3 pots of coffee per day. I can’t even begin to express how much I love the stuff. There have been times when I’ve weened myself down and done without it for a week or two here and there…but I always go back to it. Absence from it only makes my heart grow fonder!

Please share your coffee-lovin’ stories with me! I am dying to know if you are as excited over this holiday as I am. I would love to know how you’re going to celebrate…if at all. And even if you’re not, that’s perfectly fine, too. I totally understand that not everyone is an addict like I am. I do know, though, that my BFF Sarah, and my other amazing friend, Casey, will be appreciating this day in some way, shape or form. Even if they go through with their normal routines, I have absolutely no doubts that knowing it’s National Coffee Day will mean something big to both of them! Birds of a feather really do flock together!
In closing, I would just like to say once more…
HAPPY NATIONAL COFFEE DAY!!!

Stumble It!
Hey Karen! I celebrated by making a Caramel Macchiato. Yum.
I think this day pwns!
Definitely going to have to check Eric’s site out.
Thanks for the info on a good site.
I’ve been meaning to post my National Coffee Day post, I just haven’t gotten that far yet. I do have a picture of my favourite tumbler that’s alomst like yours…finally. I was supposed to post a pic AGES ago.
I just saw your blog post, Casey!
Your Machiato looks decadent!
It was.
I’m going to be heading to Starbucks in a few…I plan to take pictures, of course.
I might actually go to McDonalds instead. I realize that sounds blasphemous, but I really do like their Hazelnut Iced Coffee and it is SO much cheaper than Starbucks!
BTW - I love your little espresso machine! It’s so cute!
I … I … I’m going to have to admit that for me, it is just another day. I’ve probably drunk coffee 2 maybe 3 times in my life and that’s when I was probably 4 or so years old. Between my 5 siblings and I, only my younger brother drinks coffee and he picked it up in these later years. And that’s with both my parents being coffee drinkers, albeit NOT Karen style … NOT 2 or 3 POTS a day each! OMG! They probably drink 1 or 2 cups a day. They just never pushed it on us or maybe even consciously kept it away from us.
These 2 or 3 POTS a day that you drink … are they like pots like what one might imagine the Munchskins on the Wizard of Oz would use … or full fledged Paul Bunyun, Okay, REGULAR Pots? You don’t sleep with your eyes open, do you? Way back in high school, the school nurse used to drink soooooo much coffee that she ALWAYS walked around with a huge smile and Eyes WIDE OPEN. I don’t think we ever saw her blink!
We wondered if she slept like that.
Now, if you find out when Dr. Pepper Day is, let me know. But, even then, my Dr. Pepper intake is nowhere remotely near your coffee intake.
The pots of coffee I drink are LARGE pots. 12 cup pots, to be specific. I don’t screw around.
Dr. Pepper? GROSS! :shudder: No offense, but that’s just sick and wrong.
I’m such a hypocrite. I drink 2-3 LARGE pots of coffee per day, but I NEVER drink soda/pop…whatever you call it. Yuck…that stuff seriously grosses me out.
