Well, Lonnie and I started the Master Cleanse Diet today! I’m so flippin’ excited about it, too! So far, I’ve only had two doses of the jive…it tastes so good. The Cayenne in it sits in your tummy and warms you up inside. It feels so nice. And It really is tasty.

Here is a picture of the load of 60 lemons we bought…

Excluding the water, here are all the ingredients needed for this kick-ass cleansing diet…

The dealio is this: You squeeze the lemons to get a ton of fresh juice. We did that…

• Then what you need to do is add 2 Tablespoons of the organic Maple Syrup.
• After that, you add a cup of purified water.
• Then you add 1/10 teaspoon of Cayenne pepper. (I prefer more..mmm.)

Once you have all that stuff together, you shake or stir it up really well and then suck it down as fast as you can. You’d think it’d be gross. NOT. I LOVE IT. I would honestly drink this stuff as a beverage along with a sammich or something.

In the mean time, if you’re thirsty, all you can drink is purified water. If you get hungry, get your keister down to the kitchen and make another cocktail! You can have up to six per day. I have had two so far today. … I’m feeling kinda hungry, so I might go have another one.

I will keep you posted as to how it goes. So far, I feel terrific! I love the warming feeling of the Cayenne in my tummy. :)

I’m not exactly sure why, but I’ve always been fascinated with weight issues. Whether it be a person who is anorexic and is very underweight or the opposite - a person who is obese.  I’m guessing that the fact that I’ve dealt with eating disorders throughout my life makes me much more curious about other people with the same issues.

I was watching a segment on Discovery Health last night. It was about a woman named Connie Jackson, and the title of the show was “The Shrinking Woman.” It’s a pretty fascinating story, really. In 2001, Connie’s weight was over 600 lbs. and she was home-bound. She suffered from sleep apnea, congestive heart failure, degenerative joint disease, uncontrolled hypertension, depression, hypothyroidism, and multiple female issues. She basically couldn’t take it anymore (mentally or physically), so she had Gastric Bypass surgery. Well, she lost over 400 lbs….which was great, but because she had been so big for so long, her skin was totally stretched to the max. The more weight she lost, the more her skin just kinda hung from her body. There was no elasticity left.

Connie decided to have a body lift. Basically like a face lift, but for the entire body. Pretty scary…a very, very risky procedure. Here is an excerpt from Connie’s site:

Post-surgically, my weight began to drop leaving me with buckets of sagging skin. My legs, arms, and stomach violently bounced every time I moved. I was so uncomfortable in my old skin, that doctors performed a “body lift” to remove a 23 pound sheet of skin -five feet long, ten inches thick.

That was the first of three or four surgeries she had in order to remove excess skin. I won’t go into further detail because I don’t want to spoil the story in case anyone out there wants to watch it. It really is a very interesting show…but just in case you’ve got a weak stomach, you should be prepared to see some very graphic video of surgeries.

HERE are the TV listings for the show in case anyone wants to watch it.   :)

• Sorry it’s been so long since I last posted. The whole back-to-school thing made me fall behind on everything. Thank goodness it’s all done and over with.

• I’m drinking Mocha Java coffee with Hazelnut creamer. It’s SO good!

• Lonnie just yelled at his computer. When he does that, he reminds me of my Dad. When I was a kid, I always knew that if I heard yelling coming from the garage, I needed to stay away. My Dad’s the most gentle person I know, but when he’s working on a car and something goes wrong…WHEW! Look out!

• I need to put my make-up on. I shall return…

• Okay, I’m back and looking a little better than I was ten minutes ago. I hate looking icky. I guess I’m shallow or something. I just don’t like feeling like I could look better than I do. My outlook seems to be better when I look half way decent. Is that shallow, or is that kind of normal?

• Speaking of human behavior, my son is taking Psychology in school. The first day of the new school year was yesterday. He came home and said that he thinks he’s really going to like his Psychology class. I wish they offered badass classes like that to me when I was in school. Maybe I wouldn’t have hated it as much as I did.

• Nah - I still would have hated it! :P

• I think I’m going to bake some cupcakes today. It’s been a while since I’ve baked anything, and I like to bake stuff for the kids so they have tasty treats when they get home from school. My kids’ friends always appreciate that, too. :D

• I’m in a pretty good mood today. Yay! Much better than yesterday. I was totally bummed out for some reason. I’m sure it has something to do with my kids leaving to go to school. I know I’ve said it like 2398473 times before, but I miss them SO much when they’re gone.

• I’m going to go make a cup of coffee for Lonnie.

• He appreciated that! I love doing stuff for him and the kids. It truly makes me happy.

• Lonnie’s friend, Chad and his wife, Becky are going to be coming over any minute. Becky is a photographer, and she wants to talk business with Lonnie. I’m not sure if she just needs business advice or what, but it’ll be nice to see them again. They’re super nice people…and very personable.

• I want to mow the lawn today, but I think it’s too soon. I’m trying to only do it once per week, but when it starts looking just a tad too long, I have to go out there and mow it down. I guess it’s the OCD.

• I’ve decided I’m never going to drink alcohol again. It honestly does nothing for me anymore. I never thought I’d say that, but it’s true. I just don’t enjoy it…and I shouldn’t be drinking it, anyway.

• My daughter is 5′ tall and weighs only 65 lbs.. I’m not sure what made me think about that, but when I really stop and think about it, that’s amazingly tiny. I hope people don’t ever think we don’t feed her enough. She literally eats more than I do. I’d pretty much do anything to  have her metabolism!

• We watched “Grindhouse” the other night. I didn’t even want to watch it, but I did and ended up liking it a lot! Quentin Tarantino drives me absolutely nuts. I can’t stand the guy…and normally don’t like his movies, either. There are a few exceptions…”Grindhouse” is one of them.

• I think Lonnie’s addicted to white boards.

• Okay, I gotta go work on a website now. Sorry again for not posting for a few days. I’ll do my best not to let it happen again. :)

While I was feeling sick, I found it really difficult to lay around and not be productive. I’d get up regularly to check on the house and clean whatever needed to be cleaned. I also decided to bake an Angel Food cake. That just happens to be Lonnie’s favorite kind of cake, so not only did it help me feel productive, but it also made Lonnie happy. A double whammy! :D

Well, after I got the cake baked (here it is)…

…I decided to look on the Net to see what the nutrition facts looked like. I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that Angel Food cake is fat free! I’m not really one for sweets, but I guess if I ever crave ‘em, I can have a piece of Angel Food and not feel too incredibly guilty. I mean, it’s still got sugar and everything, so it’s not like it’s a health food, but it’s much better for you than a regular cake would be.

Here is the nutrition information that I found on the Net…

Not too bad, huh? I guess that’s a good solution for a somewhat healthier snack when I’m feeling the need to eat something sweet. :D
