My daughter and I went to Walmart the other day to do some Mother/Daughter Bonding. There’s almost no better way to bond with your daughter than to browse the Clearance rack at Walmart. Wow…it’s full of such interesting things to talk about. Most of it is absolutely hideous, but there really are some cute things if you are willing to stand there and dig deep enough.

Well, after about 45 minutes of Clearance rack diggage, we decided that we’d take the little bit of money we had and buy something for Lonnie with it instead of ourselves. Both of us love to give and we agreed that he’d earned a special treat.

We made our way over to the men’s clothing section. As a general rule, Lonnie hates to get clothes as a gift. He prefers more…uh…oh, I don’t know. He just likes more fun items like movies, computer stuff, magazines…etc. Clothing is generally not something he gets excited over. I seem to slowly be changing that fact, though. Yay!

So anyway, my daughter and I found ourselves looking through the boxer rack in the men’s section. They have so many cool choices. Well, then I saw them:

 Are they not the most badass $5 purchase known to man?!

I got a purse for ten bucks at Wal-Mart. We’re broke and can’t afford to be blowing money, but I really needed a new purse, so I splurged with a ten dollar bill and got a new purse.

Well, I was so excited to have this purse. I got it home, emptied my old purse and loaded the new one. Then I turned to Lonnie in an excited tone and said, “Look at the new purse I got!!!” His reply: “Looks like a glorified camera bag.”

Immediate bubble burstage. I went from being totally stoked to being all upset because he hates it.

So now I need to know what you think. Don’t worry about my feelings. Be HONEST. Honesty is of the utmost importance to me.

Self heating coffee? Huh?      You’re kidding, right?!

Heck no! The people over at OnTech have come out with this nifty container which is self heating!

Of course, you want to keep in mind that just because it feels heavy doesn’t mean that’s the weight of what you’ll be drinking. The junk inside that makes it heat up weighs quite a bit from what I can tell. My professional estimation is that you’re getting about 12 onces of tasty goodness. Not too shabby, really!

Anyway, that’s my recommendation for today. I really enjoyed it…it was a pleasant surprise!  BTW - HERE is a video I took of Lonnie earlier. He didn’t want me to post it, but damn it…he’s just so adorable and handsome. How can I resist?

While I was looking around on the Net, I came across an item that made me audibly go, “Awwwww!”  I honestly can’t even remember what brought me to the page I saw this thing on, but darn it…it’s just so cute.

It’s a coffee cup ring! I guess it could be a tea cup, too…but I prefer coffee, so that’s what I’m going with.  DOH! I just realized it’s sold out.      Oh noooooo!

This is where I found it. Maybe if we (you and me) stalk the page enough, we’ll catch it right after they get a new shipment or something! I refuse to give up.
