I had planned on writing some Random Randomness©, but then my shoulders and neck started to hurt again…and now I’m getting a headache, so I don’t have time to compose any randomness.  Lonnie is going to take me to McDonalds to get a $1 ice cream cone. We like to do that quite a bit because it’s a really cheap treat and it’s nice to get out. It might not be the most healthy thing for us to do, but we generally eat really healthy, so what the heck?!

I plan to lay down and watch some TV for a bit when we get back. It’s been a long time since I was last a lazy bum. I’m do for some chillaxin’!        I’ve really been enjoying my blog lately. I’ve also added a couple new designs to my online store. My very favorite so far is the My.Opera Short Bus graphic.      I seriously laughed the whole time I was making it.  The fact that all of my friends like it makes me happy and feels really good.

I would like to say one more thing before I go. It’s regarding the online store I opened.  Someone mentioned “shameless self promotion”…I know he was just joking. I even laughed and everything. So, I’m not all ass-hurt or anything. I just want to say that the reason I opened it was mostly so I could share my graphics with other people. I mean, yeah - I would love for people to purchase something, but if nobody ever does, I won’t be in the least bit upset.  I’m not out any money or anything…and I’m doing something I genuinely enjoy.    ;)

Anyway, the point that I’m trying to make is that I don’t expect anything from anyone. I’m just doing what I love to do…and if someone decides to make a purchase, then that’s  just a bonus.

Lonnie just told me he’s ready to go, so off to McDonalds for an ice cream cone we go!

 • It’s been a while since I’ve written some Random Randomness©, so here I am to catch up! :D

• I’ll be leaving in a few minutes to head to Wal-Mart. I bought some nails last night…when I got them home, I realized that they’re the pre-glued kind. I hate those, so I need to take them back and get the ones I like.

• It’s been a really, really long time since I’ve splurged on anything for myself. Nails only cost a little over $5, so I figured it was time to give myself a gift.  Too bad I screwed up and got the wrong kind!  Oh well…no biggie.

•  I’m taking the easy and non-healthy way out of making dinner tonight. I bought some Banquet Fried Chicken. I love that stuff…even though it’s packed full of fat, sodium, and preservatives.

• Lonnie is playing some really bad music right now. I’m having a difficult time blocking it out…especially since he’s got it cranked way up.

• Speaking of Lonnie - we went to Wamu yesterday to make a deposit and the girl behind the counter was totally flirting with him. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears. I was so pissed off…although I remained composed so as not to let her see that she was getting to me. After the deposit was done, she picked up one of her business cards, handed it to Lonnie, and said something like, “If you have any questions or anything, feel free to call!”   How incredibly rude. I mean, I was standing right there. It’s obvious that Lonnie and I are a couple since we always hold hands and whatnot. Meh…whatever. She can dream on! Besides, I guess things like that are to be expected when you’re with a good looking guy like Lonnie. I’m actually happy for him…it was an ego booster - which is something that always feels nice.

• My nose is cold. I must be healthy.

• I polished my nails earlier. I figured that until I replace those nails I mentioned earlier, I’d just have them polished. I hate having naked fingernails. I always have to either have fake ones on or have them polished. They just look too icky to me when they’re plain.

• I’m craving a Mocha!

• I think I’ve used that little birdbath graphic on here before, but oh well. I think it’s cute. :D

• I’d really like to get a bird feeder. We have a tree in the back yard that’d be perfect for a feeder. I totally enjoy watching the birdies do their thing. It’s so relaxing and peaceful.

•  Speaking of relaxing and peaceful things; I want to visit a nearby cemetery and take some pictures. It’s a lovely cemetery and is pretty huge, too. There are actually a few different cemeteries here in Vancouver that are on my list of places to visit.

• My Mom’s birthday is in eight days. I still haven’t figured out what to do for her. I know I’m going to bake a cake, but other than that, I’m clueless.

• My skin is so much softer since we moved to Vancouver. I’m thinking it’s the water here or something.

• I’ve been feeling all bloated and icky today, so I took two Diurex.  The only problem with taking them is that they’re packed with caffeine…and I already drank a pot of coffee today. I’m starting to feel all amped up.  The last thing Lonnie needs is a hyperactive dork driving him crazy.

• I really need a new pair of tennis shoes. I’ve got a black pair of Airwalks that I totally love, so I’m hoping I can find another identical pair. That’d rule!

• I could really go for a beer right now. I know I shouldn’t even be thinking that way, but sometimes it just really sounds good. This is one of those times.

• Lonnie is almost ready to head to Wal-Mart…finally!

• I keep seeing lots of pregnant women everytime we go anywhere. It makes me feel kind of envious. I know that might sound insane, but I thoroughly enjoyed being pregnant. I was so happy during both of my pregnancies. The last thing I want is a baby, though, so I need to snap out of it!

• I really, really dislike Bruce Springsteen’s music. Yeah…his and also Elton John’s.

• I’m totally hooked on Bolthouse Farms’ Vanilla Chai stuff. Mmmm…it’s soooo good!  It’s pretty healthy, too.

• I’ve gotten a couple compliments on the look of this blog. That made me feel pretty good. I’m happy that I’ve got something going that’s appealing to the eye.

• Oil of Olay makes the best skin care products on the planet. They can get kinda spendy, but they’re well worth it to me. They last longer than the cheaper brands do, so the cost pretty much works itself out. Sometimes buying the more expensive products is the way to go. You get what you pay for, after all. ;)

• Lonnie’s ready to go now, so I’m going to wrap this up! Have a wonderful day…and weekend!

Yes, that’s right! February 12th is National Pancake Day! Oh Hells yeah! :D Bust out your trusty fork,  vat of syrup, & bib! Who doesn’t love a pancake?  Even I, who have not eaten anything non-healthy in a  very long time, will be participating in this holiday!  Mmmm…yeah…Mrs. Butterworth and I are going to  get our grooves on!

On a more serious note, this whole IHOP Pancake Day thing is a really awesome thing. As their website states:

Join IHOP to celebrate National Pancake Day on Tuesday, February 12, 2008. From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., we’ll give you one free short stack (three) of our famous buttermilk pancakes.* All we ask is that you consider making a donation to support local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network, or other local charities.

Lonnie and I are going to take the kids and donate $2 each. For only $8, we will get to eat out…and we’ll be donating to a good cause. We’d donate more if we could afford it, but our budget’s still super tight. I think all of you people who live close to an IHOP should partake in this event! Why not? Even if you can’t afford to donate anything, it’s still cool to get out of the house and eat a meal you didn’t have to cook. ;) Don’t forget to take pictures of your Pancake Day celebration! I am certainly going to! :D

I got a package in the mail yesterday. When I saw who it was from, I got all excited. I’ve received a package from this person before, so I knew they had a history of sending badass stuff!

I’m not going to disclose the person’s name without their approval, but I will just say that this person is truly a Saint. Seriously. They’ve been there for me to vent to, to help me with my stupid little questions, and is simply a downright good person. I am honored to know this person, let alone be able to consider them a good friend of mine.

Anyway, I tore open the package and took some of the contents out. I was soooo excited when I saw what I had gotten! I’ve been wanting one of the things in there for sooo long! This person knew that, too…which is probably why they sent it. :D

Well, after scoping out what I had gotten, I looked back in the package to make sure I hadn’t missed anything. Thank God I looked in there again! There was a check in the bottom of the package. I pulled it out, looked at the amount on it, and proceeded to cry. I couldn’t believe the generosity of this person. I’ll keep the amount a secret…but I will say that it could NOT have come at a better time! Our power was scheduled to be shut off by 5:00 that evening unless we could come up with the money to keep it on! My friend totally saved our asses. If not for him, I wouldn’t be typing this right now because I’d have no electricity!

Can you believe that?! How did I get so lucky to have such good friends. It’s not the money itself that made me cry, of course. It’s the gesture…and the fact that this person was so selfless and helped us in our time of need. Lonnie and I are both so grateful. I have thanked this person over and over and over again….I feel like I cannot thank them enough. I’m so blessed…honestly. And I NEVER thought I’d say that. I only started believing in God a few months ago. It seems like ever since that happened, things have really been falling into place for me. I mean, yeah….some really shitty stuff has happened, but I have never known such truly wonderful people in all my life. I feel truly cared about by my friends, and I don’t know where I’d be without them…

Anyway, if the person decides that it’s okay to divulge his/her name, I will do so. Otherwise, they shall go down in history as the Saint who saved my ass. Thank you again, dear friend!

I would like to add that I also got something else which is very special in the mail yesterday. My best girlfriend, Sarah, sent my family a Thanksgiving card…and also a card just for me! :D  I was so excited to get it! Sarah is such a sweetheart & I will love her ’til the day I die.   The cards are on my fireplace mantle right now and they shall remain there ’til Thanksgiving has come and gone.

Thank you again, Sarah! xoxoxoxox
