Yeah, okay…so there I am watching TV.  It doesn’t matter what I’m watching because that is so not the point. Suddenly this catchy little diddy comes on the ol’ bewb tewb and I suddenly burst out into song.  Not a pretty sound…but I cannot control it.  Singing along with this commercial is completely involuntary!

You’re probably wondering what jingle would have such an affect on me, right? (If not, bite me…hehe.) If you live in the United States, I know you’ve heard it…assuming you watch TV once in a great while.

The commercial is for freecreditreport.com. They actually have a few different commercials with catchy tunes, but the particular one I’m referring to is my favorite. Why, you ask? I have absolutely no idea!

I have no idea who the dude in these commercials is. I don’t even know if he really sings them or not. All I know is that this commercial is verging on too catchy. The fact that I cannot watch the stupid thing without singing along scares the crap out of me! Here are the lyrics:

I can’t even imagine how much money they’ve made from these commercials. I mean, Geico cleaned up when they did the whole caveman thing. Granted, they totally OVER-did it, but still…the commercials must’ve brought in buttloads of new customers. I’m assuming these freedcreditreport.com commercials are bringing in lots of new people as well.

I guess I’m done ranting now. I just had to get that out of my system. This commercial’s jingle is stuck in my head….and I don’t even mind! I’m sick! Sick, I tell ya’!

W00t! This is my first real entry in my new blog.  I’ve posted a couple other times, but they were just tester-outer blog posts to tweak my layout and whatnot. Now it’s time to get down to the nitty gritty. I’m very excited about this! Why? Because I said so, damn it! Okay…seriously…I’m excited because I have missed having my own blog more than you know. I must say, though, that I made a big mistake by registering my domain name as “Karen’s Chronicle” rather than “Karen’s Chronicles“…but that’s okay. Lonnie’s going to buy the proper one and redirect the URL…etc. For those of you who don’t know me at all and are wondering who Lonnie is, he’s my fiancé, best friend, Dad to my two kids, Web Master, and love of my life. It was love at first sight for both of us. We’re both very lucky.

Ooopsie daisy! I got slightly side-tracked there. Big shocker. *rolls eyes* As you’ll notice along the way, I get side-tracked very easily. It’s like my brain has way too many thoughts going on in there, so I just kinda voice the oddest things at the oddest times. For example: The other day, Lonnie and I were in the middle of a conversation about computers. (Takes a nerd to love a nerd.) I suddenly blurted out, “Did your Mom apologize to you?” He looked at me like, “Where the Hell did that come from?!” and said, “Uhh…no” with the look of a deer in headlights on his face. Hahaha…totally caught him off guard. At least I keep him on his toes, right?

So anyway, about the blog…

I’m going to continue doing my Random Person of The Day© post everyday. It really seems to be a hit. I’m happy about that. It makes me feel good to come up with an idea that other people actually like. It makes me feel like I’m contributing to the entertainment level of people. Perhaps I’m giving myself a bit too much credit, but meh…oh well.

I also have a few more ideas that I may implement on my blog. They’re still in the planning phases in my skull, though. I have to let my ideas roam around in there for a while before I finally decide whether or not to liberate them. My internal recycle bin is packed full of ideas/concepts I’ve scratched. I need to right-click that sonna-bitch and empty it before it bogs me down! I guess that’s where my mass ingestion of coffee comes into play.

Speaking of coffee…how pathetic am I? Seriously. I have a pound of fresh coffee beans in the kitchen just waiting to be ground & turned into liquid orgasms with caffeine…but do I do that? Hells no! Instead, I’m being completely lazy and am drinking instant coffee! Blasphemy, right?! I know! I should be bitch-slapped for disrespecting the sacred beans like that! *shakes head* I’m just so lethargic that I don’t have the gumption right now to get up and go to the trouble of brewing an entire pot of the good stuff. Instead, I dump a spoon full of the dehydrated poor excuse for coffee into my cup and then fill it up with the hot water spigot on my Culligan dispenser thingy. I’m even too lazy to boil water! Wow…I feel so useless right at this very moment. 

Ummm…I just lost my train of thought…

Oh yeah!!! Now I remember…the blog. So yeah…it’s pretty much done for now. I have a few more sidebar items to add and a couple things to tweak, but other than that it’s all set up for my babbly jive. I’ll be changing the look of the blog once in a while so it doesn’t become mundane. I hate getting sick of the way a site looks. Sometimes I wish I could give certain sites face-lifts or something. I don’t want anyone to feel like that about my blog, so I’ll do my best to keep it looking nice and fresh.

Is it just me, or do you also think the whole Geico Caveman getting a TV show is just taking it too far? I mean really. I love the commercials, but now they’re making it into a show?! Giveth me a break, yo! It’s the same thing they do with a really good song…over play the Hell out of it. In the end, you get sick of hearing the same song over and over and over. I foresee myself groaning, “Fuck this caveman shit” before they get to their second episode. Hopefully I’m wrong…but that’d be a first! I’m NEVER wrong! *COUGHbullshitCOUGH*

I just remembered that I gotta call my doctor to get a refill on my pain meds. I’ll be right back…

…alrighty - I’m back. I hope she actually refills them for me. I also made an appointment with her for tomorrow. I’ve got a back/neck injury that I’m being seen for. I had an MRI about two weeks ago (I think), so I’ve got to go get my results from that. I’m kinda worried, but I’m sure I’ll be okay no matter what the results are. I’ve also got a neurologist appointment on Halloween. Suck-ass day to go to the doctor, but oh well. It’ll be nice to see why I have numbness and weakness in my left arm & hand. I hate having it! I’m left-handed, so it’s screwing with my dominant side.

I gotta go get some stuff done. I might be back in a while…might not. I’m unpredictable like that.
