I really don’t have a lot of time to write lately, but I’ve decided to make time. I’ve been so busy with serious stuff lately…the not being able to goof off on the Net is getting to me. I’m not a serious type of person, so having time to chill and be immature is really important to my sanity…what’s left of it. :D

Lonnie’s dental nightmare is still continuing. He had four teeth extracted…his lower right side. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he ended up getting dry socket in all four holes. Ouch.  The dentist he went to had to scrape the holes out and then pack some clove oil soaked gauze strips in there. It was totally heinous. There’s a lot more to the story, but I’m honestly sick of having to explain it to people, so I’ll just leave it at that.  ;)

Things have really been coming together for us lately. It seems as though we’re being rewarded for all of our hard work, perseverance, and faith. I’m certainly not taking any of the good things for granted. I never fail to stop what I’m doing and silently say, “Thank you so much!” I hate it when people pray and pray for good things to happen and then when the good things come their way, they fail to be thankful for it. Nobody is perfect, and we all make mistakes…but still. Be thankful, people!

My Mom’s birthday is coming up on the 17th. She’ll be 61. I’m not sure what we’re going to do for it, but we’ll figure something out. We went to the beach on her birthday last year. Lonnie said he doesn’t really want to do that again this year, so we’ll have to think of something else. If anyone has any neato ideas, feel free to send them my way. I’m having a difficult time thinking of things that she’d enjoy doing.

My Dad goes in for heart surgery on the 13th. I’m really nervous about it. I think it’d be kind of unhuman not to worry. I’m glad he’s getting it done, though. It’ll really pay off in the long run. It’s too bad I can’t go to Minneapolis with him and be there for him for it, but that’s okay. His girlfriend, Michelle, will be there with him. She’s really good to him. It makes me feel pretty awesome to know that she takes such good care of my Dad. If not for her, he might not even be here. I’ve actually been wanting to write an email to her to let her know how important she is to me, but I keep chickening out. I’m not sure why…I just feel uncomfortable opening up too much to people.  I guess that sounds kind of odd coming from a habitual blogger.

We’re completely in love with the new house. We’ve been here for three weeks and couldn’t be happier with it. We even like our neighbors a lot…which is a first!  There isn’t a divider between our front yard and our neighbor’s front yard. We have a fence separating the back and side, but not the front. Well, when we first moved in here, our grass was almost totally dead. Three weeks later, it looks like something from Better Homes & Gardens! The neighbors are little old ladies, so I told them that I’m going to mow, water, and fertilize their yard for them. That way they don’t have to bother with it…and I also benefit from it because they won’t have weeds anymore that’ll work their way over to our side.  They really appreciate me doing it…and I completely love doing it. I’ve got a knack for gardening. Lonnie keeps saying that I should run a landscaping business, but nah. That’s not my thing. I’d rather just work on my own yard…and the neighbor’s yard. :)

Unfortunately, the time has come for me to wrap this up. Lonnie has another dentist appointment in about a half hour, so I need to go put my make-up on and whatnot so I look presentable. I’ve enjoyed writing this…I can’t tell you how therapeutic it is for me to write my feelings and thoughts out. If not for blogging, I’d keep everything inside. I’m really crappy with communicating my thoughts to other people.

Anyway, have a terrific day, and thanks for dropping by! I’ll probably be using this blog a lot more than I have been….I’m enjoying it more than before. :D

  •  I haven’t been posting lately because the sun is actually shining!    I was beginning to think I’d never see sunshine again, but I was wrong! :D

•  I’ve gotten pretty much all of my yard work done. Now all I’ll have to do for the rest of the sunny seasons is pull any stray weeds that pop up, mow the lawn once a week, and make sure the sprinkler system is doing its thing properly. It feels good to have all of the heavy work done…although I’ll probably plant a whole ton of new stuff.

• My toes are totally frozen!

• I’m thinking of dying my hair. While I like the little grey streak I have going on in the front, I fear that it makes me look like an old fart. I don’t want to look old. The grey has me feeling all frumpy lately, so I just might break down and dye it.

• I’m afraid I might not care for Slurpees so much anymore.    I never thought I’d say that, but the last two times I had one, it just didn’t hit the spot. Maybe it was just bad timing or something. I’ll try again in a month or so.

• Lonnie keeps listening to this Asian sounding music. I feel like I’m sitting in a Chinese restaurant typing this or something. Where’s my egg roll?!

• My son is thinking about getting into real estate. My Dad mentioned it to him, and since then, he’s really been giving it serious thought. I think it’d be a perfect profession for him…and since my Dad’s pretty well acquainted with the business, he’s got his Grandpa to turn to if he has any questions!

• Once again, I am dreading cooking dinner tonight! BAH!

• I’ve been playing at least two hours of GTA: San Andreas every night. I’m currently in the process of wandering around searching for tags to spraypaint over. So far, I’m up to 35 out of 100.

• My son just brought something over for me to smell and his static electricity shocked my upper lip!   Owie!

• Now Lonnie is listening to Indian music. I’ve gone from feeling like I’m in a Chinese restaurant to an Indian restaurant.

• I’ve never eaten Indian food. I really, really want to since I’ve heard it’s pretty spicy. Mmmm!

• David Blaine trips me out. He was on the Oprah show yesterday trying to break a world record for holding his breath. Unfortunately, I missed the show, so I have no idea if he accomplished his goal or not. I should Google it.

He did break the record! He held his breath for 17 minutes 4 seconds.   How the heck?!

• I need to go prep dinner. We’re having chicken, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, baked beans, and baby carrots. Lots and lots of carbs. We deserve to splurge, though! :D

 • As you may have noticed, I’ve not written any Randomness for a while, so it’s about time I do so!

• The weather won’t make up its mind today. One minute it looks like it’s going to rain, and the next minute it looks like the sun is making an appearance. How dare it taunt me like this?!

• I had a pretty good weekend. My kids didn’t have school yesterday, so it was a three day weekend! :D

• We visited Lonnie’s parents on Saturday. It was pretty neato. We drove down The Historic Columbia River Highway to get there. It’s not as pretty of a drive as it will be in a couple months, but it was still really awesome! I took a ton of pictures…I’ll probably create a new album for them. Time will tell.

• My Tulips look amazing! :D I will take more pictures as soon as the batteries to my camera finish charging up. I can’t believe how quickly they’re blooming…I love it!

• Meh…I gotta talk to a lawyer on the phone today.  :( I hate dealing with that kind of thing. He wants to get information from me regarding our vehicle accident back in 2005. The statute of limitations will be up on the 27th, so we’ll be settling soon…or suing. Either way…I hate stress.

• I need a coffee refill! Be right back….

• Ahhh…much better!

• I just took some pictures of my Tulips. I couldn’t wait. I took the batteries out of the charger before they were totally charged. I am SUCH a rebel! I’ll post a picture blog when I’m done with this Randomness!

• I’m currently listening to my MySpace page. I was hard up for music, so the fastest thing I could think of to do was hit the Play ? button on my MySpace player. I went from Death Metal to Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On“. The reason I went with that song isn’t only because it’s totally freakin’ badass…I was watching TV the other day and heard that song and it got wedged in between two braincells. I figured I HAD to listen to the song again just so I could finally get it out of my head. It hasn’t worked yet. Odd thing is that I’m not overly pissed off about it. I’d normally want to slam my head into a wall, but this time I’m just groovin’ with the tune! FINALLY! Something to keep the voices busy!

• I think I’ve finally met my match. While everyone else around here was sick with the flu, pink eye, sinus infections, ear infections…all that joyous creepin’ crud, I was totally okay. None of it got to me…I’ve been the healthiest person in the house for like three years. Anyway, I believe my time has come. A sore throat set in last night. I’ve been feeling kinda congested in the nasal region lately, and I just kinda played it off like I normally play that kind of thing off. I fool myself into thinking that if I ignore it, it WILL go away. 9 times out of 10, it does. This is the tenth time, I guess. I’ll be okay..no biggie. Just a sore throat and sinus congestion. I would take a Sudafed if I could, but it’d mix wrong with my other pills and I’d end up doing the fish on the floor. I’ll pass!

• WOW! I just found THIS video on YouTube. Wow! :eyes: I’ve never really seen someone have a seizure before. That’s completely heart wrenching. That poor woman. If I ever win the lottery or end up having extra cash at any point, I’m going to donate it to CURE. :D I used to donate to PETA, but they went way over the top and I no longer really want to be associated with them. I’m happy to have found a different worthy cause!

• I’m going to make a big Pot Pie for dinner tonight. Chicken, of course. I’ve never made one before, so I hope it’ll turn out okay. *crosses fingers*

• I can’t wait any longer. I need to upload and post the pictures of my flowers! Yay! I hope everyone has an awesome day! ;)

The Tulips are looking so pretty! I took some pictures early this morning when they were still closed. They look really pink when they’re all closed up like that…but they’re red on the inside. In other words, they are breathtakingly beautiful!

Anyway, here are some pictures…Here’s one of the patches of Tulips…
There are five patches in this picture…although it’s kinda hard to tell…

Here’s a picture of what I believe is a Rhododendron bush thingy. I’m not sure if that’s what it is or not, but either way…it’s pretty. Looks like the flowers will be pink! :D

Here’s a different bush thingy…

I might take more pictures now that they’re all opening up and showing their pretty faces! :p
