Hooray for bouncing cupcake bullets!

Although I’ve had a pretty long day and am fairly tired, I’ve decided to stay up and get some stuff accomplished. This Random Randomness© is one of those things.

I’ve come across some really awesome stuff online lately! The first thing I want to tell you about is a Twitter application called Toro. It’s a brand new application, so it’s still in it’s development/beta phase. Both Casey and I have tried it, and I think she will agree when I say that it’s really freakin’ cool! Anything that can keep up with my babbling as well as Toro does must be pretty awesome!  

I found out that the value of my blog has increased! It’s now worth $4,516.32. w00t! Isn’t that awesomely awesome? Then again, it doesn’t really matter. I don’t see anyone pounding on my door with a bag full of cash…begging to buy this thing!

Even if someone was pounding on my door wanting to buy this thing, I’d not sell it. I’m not a blog pimp, for cryin’ out loud! GOSH!

I know I’ve been talking a lot about Twitter…can’t help it. I love the thing. Anyway, if you’re a Mom and you like Twitter, you might consider joining Twitter Moms. I’ve not joined yet, but I’m seriously considering it.

We have an upright freezer in our garage. It’s basically a back-up freezer so we don’t have to go shopping as often. We just fill that sucker up with frozen food, and we’re good for a long time. Well, I sent my daugher into the freezer earlier this evening, and when she came back into the house she mentioned that there was water in the freezer.       Water? In the FREEZEr? Umm, yeah. So, I hauled my keister into the garage, flung the door of the freezer open, and discovered that the stupid thing is no longer freezing our food!    :mad:   I have absolutely no idea what happened, but it’s dead. Lonnie and I made about 23948732 trips from the garage into the house with our arms and hands full of the food that was in the freezer. Luckily, we discovered the problem before any of the food could go bad. Instead, I’ve been cooking all of this food! Once frozen food thaws, you can’t refreeze it…unless you enjoy getting violently ill. So yeah…I’m a tad less than thrilled about the whole thing.

I need to remember to write a note to my daughter’s teacher before I get off of my computer…whenever that’ll be.

I put in an application with the Tag Society, but haven’t heard back from them yet. I hope I get accepted.

I have no idea why I hope I get accepted. I just do.

I’m going to the doctor again tomorrow…for my back/neck issues. I still have yet to find a regular doctor here in Vancouver. I tend to procrastinate being seen by doctors…I hate them.

I sold another text link ad to a company. I can’t say which one because I don’t want them to pull their ads…but I’m very excited about it! Now if I could just get my site to load at a normal speed again, I’d be totally content with it!

Speaking of my blog being so slow…I spoke with Lonnie about it a little while ago. He said that he thinks he’s just going to move it to a different server (again) and see what happens. He’s just gotta find the time to do it.

I’ve been sleeping on my stomach a lot lately. Not sure what that’s all about. I generally lay on my left side.

Ever wish you could be ordained and therefore be able to legally marry people, park in clergy spots, perform funerals…etc.??? Well, now you can! Believe it or not, it’s completely legal!  

I spoke with my Dad on the phone earlier. He is doing so much better! He sounds like he’s back to his usual self…and he said he’s even back to his usual routine. I can’t tell you how relieved I was to hear that! I’ve been SO worried about him.

My upper lip keeps itching. Grrrr! I’m about ready to rip it off!

My Mom starts her new job on Monday. I’m really hoping it’ll be a job she likes and is happy with. When she’s not happy, I’m not happy.

I’m going to head over to a neato site I just found and fill out the registration form! Thanks again to everyone for being so patient with the lagging going on around here. You guys rule!  

 • I’ve gotten a really good start on the site design for that fireworks company I was talking about previously. It feels good to have gotten so much work done today…although I probably should have gotten even more done.

• I’m listening to this album called “Arabic Lounge” right now. I enjoy this stuff quite a bit. It’s a lot different from the norm, but that’s a good thing.

• We watched “The Sasquatch Gang” two nights ago. I totally loved it. It’s from the same guys who made “Napoleon Dynamite“…and you can tell. It has the same feeling to it - not to mention lots of the same actors are in it. If you enjoyed “Napoleon Dynamite”, you’d probably enjoy “The Sasquatch Gang” as well.

• Dinner sucked tonight. Everyone else liked it, but I hated it. I decided to make Hamburger Helper…but with ground turkey instead of beef. (Lonnie and I don’t eat beef, pork, lamb, buffalo, deer…anything but chicken, turkey, and seafood.) Hamburger Helper is already pretty disgusting, but when you make it with turkey, it’s even more nasty.

• I need to make a bunch more designs for products in my shop. It’d be nice if there were more hours in a day. I hate feeling so bogged down with this ginormous To Do list.

• My coffee was SO good today. I got some fresh beans last night…Mmmm…  

• I’m going to the doctor tomorrow. I promised Lonnie I would. I hate doctors. They suck. All of ‘em. They’re never very nice…and the ones who are nice don’t seem to help much, anyway.

• The reason I’m going to the doc…well, there are actually two reasons. 1. My back/neck pain has gotten unbearable again. 2. I need an increase in dosage of my meds. The anxiety/panic and depression are getting super bad again, and I hate it. I’ll be okay…I just need the right level of chemicals in me.

• I’m hungry for dessert. I shouldn’t say that. I’m actually not hungry at all…just craving something sweet. Ice cream would be good. Or a Snickers would rock, too!

• It’s so weird that I like sweets so much lately. I used to dislike them a lot. I never ever craved sweet stuff. It seems like the older I get, though, the more I like them. Just what my thighs need!

• I switched back to the Mirage Alpha Opera skin yesterday. I needed a change.

• For those of you who use Twitter, you should really check TweetDeck out! I sent the link to Casey earlier today, and she agrees that it’s badass! Do it!

• I’m soooo cold! I wish I could talk Lonnie into turning the A/C off.

• I downloaded a new color browser today. It’s really awesome. I’ve already put it to good use while working on that fireworks site earlier. You should check it out if you’re into that sort of thing.

• These people should pay me to be advertising their programs like this! …just kidding, but wouldn’t that pwn?!

• Alright…time to go back to work. The last thing I need is to get out of my creative groove. That would TOTALLY suck!

• Today’s been a pretty good one so far. I’m in an unusually good mood. It’s kinda freaky, to be honest with you. I mean, yeah - it’s good to be happy…but this chipper?  

• I just remembered that I need to install a smiley pack on here. I know I’ve said it a billion times before, but I think I will really do it today. I’m so tired of the lame default smilies.

• My daughter is next door playing with her friend. They’re having a blast on the Slip ‘n Slide.  I used to love those things when I was a kid. I’d be out there playing on it, too, but I have work I’m supposed to be doing.

• Uh, yeah…blogging isn’t the work I’m referring to.

• I just finished off a pot of coffee. I think I’ll stop there. One pot per day is enough for me lately. When I drink two or more pots, I get a bit hyperactive. The last thing my family needs is me bouncing off the walls.

• I made the slutty bunny graphic I’m using on here earlier today. The blue color is the same blue that’s used in the clouds in the header of my blog.

• I feel all bloated and icky today. Don’t ya’ hate it when that happens? Or are you lucky enough to never get that feeling?

• Some jackass left a few rude comments on my blog yesterday. Really mature.

• OH! I can’t believe I haven’t blogged it sooner, but my Step-Mom called me yesterday to let me know that my Dad had just gotten out of surgery. The doctor said that it couldn’t possibly have gone better. My Dad is doing really, really well! Yay! I’m so relieved.

• For the first time ever, I’m considering not voting. That’s a huge thing coming from me. I’ve always been a big advocate of voting. The problem is that I don’t want to vote for someone I don’t want to be in office. It’s basically down to Obama and McCain now. I cannot stand either of them. I honestly can’t even say which of them is the lesser of two evils. They’re both evil squared. I absolutely hate the idea of not voting…but I don’t know what else to do. I refuse to place a vote for someone I don’t support. That’s pretty much like lying.  

• I can’t believe I just said anything about politics. The last time I blogged anything about politics, it created a big ol’ debate, and bah! I don’t want people bitching each other out on my blog.

• I’m very worried about my friend, Carlos.

• I baked two loaves of Banana Bread a couple days ago. Did I already blog about that? *thinking* I don’t remember.

• My son has a window air conditioner in his room now. He’s keeping it so cold in there, I’m concerned that he’ll get frostbite or something.

• My foot just fell asleep!  I hate that! Pins & needles! Pins & needles!

• I guess I should go get some work done now before Lonnie gets all pissy with me. I can’t really blame him…it’s not fair that I’m sitting here having fun while he’s working. I’m such a spoiled brat sometimes!

• Have a wonderful day…don’t let anyone get you down. Nobody is worth that.

Since My Opera is still doing it’s “I’m not going to work properly” routine, I had decided to write a small entry over here on my site for once in a long while. Well, when I opened CuteFTP Pro so I could upload a couple graphics to include in the entry, I’m not able to connect to the server. When will these technical issues cease?!  I’m seriously just so sick and tired of web pages timing out, being full of errors, and not doing anything close to what they’re supposed to be doing. It’s like technology as a whole is conspiring against me!

Okay, maybe that’s a bit paranoid, but still…I’m tired of it! I know I’m not the only one. There are plenty of people over on My Opera who are griping about the same things. It’s very frustrating that they haven’t really said what the issue is…it’s like we’re just supposed to wonder or something. UNLESS they have mentioned it somewhere, but I’ve failed to see it. I wouldn’t be too surprised if that’s the case…but I’d also not be overly surprised if it’s not the case.

Meh…whatever. I just needed to vent some frustration before I ended up kicking something.

On a different note - I have decided not to take this site down! I’ll continue to post here when I feel like it. I can’t promise how regularly that will be…but it will happen. It will definitely happen more and more if My Opera continues to take a cyber dump all over the Net.

Maybe I’ll go edit a Random Person of The Day© picture and post it. I’m basically trying to kill some time while I wait for Lonnie to finish up what he’s doing. Once he’s done, we’re going to watch a movie. I’m not sure which one, but we now have HBO, Cinemax, Starz, Encore, and Showtime, so there had better be something on! I won’t hold my breath, though. My luck with these sorts of things has gone down the crapper lately.

Okay…I’m going to zip it now. Sorry for being such a Negative Nessy. I will do my best to keep the griping to a minimum…but I’m not perfect.
