• As you can see, I changed the look of my site again. Sorry to all of my male readers out there for the level of femininity I’ve got going on…but I’m a chick, so yeah. I think it’s to be expected.
• Today was the first church service in the new building. Wow..that’s such a nice church! Brand spankin’ new and beautiful. They did a really classy job on the place.
• Lonnie got me a pink coffee tumbler thing today! I love it! Not only does it hold twice as much coffee as a regular cup does, but it stays hot for way longer…AND I can take it with me when we go somewhere. I’m actually surprised I’ve gone this long without one.
What the heck was I thinking?! (I wasn’t)
• My toe is still killing me. I promised Lonnie that I will go get it checked out tomorrow. I need to make sure they can’t set it or anything. The difference with the break this time is that it’s in two different places. I’m smooth like that.
• I’m going to call my Dad tomorrow to see how he’s doing. I’ve been leaving him alone so that he doesn’t have to talk and can get healed up as quickly as possible, but I really do want to talk to him. Tomorrow it is!
• Lonnie is playing some decent music today!
For once, we agree on the tunage! w00t! Right now he’s playing the live version of “Lola” by The Kinks. One of my all time favorite songs.
• Speaking of Lola….when I get my dog, I have really been thinking of going with that name. I think it’d be an adorable name for a tiny dog. I can’t get it until we can TOTALLY afford it, though, so it’ll be a long time. We’re still behind in our finances.
• I was hoping to get a Teacup Chihuahua, but lately I’ve been considering a black Pug and a Pomeranian as well. They’re all so cute…and expensive.
No matter what I end up getting, it’d better like to be dressed up because I’m going to have a full wardrobe for the thing….which is just one more reason it’ll be a LONG time ’til I actually get it.
• I had a salad for lunch. Mmm…it was really good. I like to put Walnuts on my salad. It adds the perfect crunchy texture.
• I was talking with a woman at church this morning about Seasonal Affective Disorder. She said that she suffers from it, too. She then said something like, “You might want to consider taking in caffeine. It has a way of helping me with the depression.” I looked at Lonnie and just kinda laughed…then said, “Umm, caffeine is definitely not an issue with me. I’m a coffee-a-holic!” She kinda chuckled…but also looked at me weirdly. I stopped and thought about it for a moment. What if she looked at me that way because I admitted to being addicted to something and she kinda looks down on that whole way of being?!
• Maybe I’m just being paranoid. The woman was really nice, so I will give her the benefit of the doubt.
• I just took a whiff of my dry erase markers. The blue one smells WAY better than the black one. Mmm…I love that scent.
• I got a letter from Sarah, my BFF, in the mail today!
Yay! I love getting letters from her. It makes my day. It’s cool to talk to people online and everything, but nothing compares to a handwritten letter.
• Now Lonnie is listening to Tom Petty.
• There was something I wanted to blog about, but now that I’m in the process of blogging, I cannot remember what it was. I normally write ideas down when they come to me, but for some reason, I failed to do so with this idea.
• I’ve been having some really messed up dreams lately. More like nightmares. The one last night was so upsetting. In my dream, I discovered that my son had been calling his friend’s parents Mom & Dad. Not only that, but when I confronted him with it, he basically ripped me a new one - telling me that I’m a horrible mother and that his friend’s parents are there for him more than I ever have been. Of course, I woke up totally flustered…yet relieved that it was a dream. My son and I are very close, so for something like that to happen…well, it’d pretty much kill me. Even if we weren’t close, it’d do me in.
• Isn’t it impressive that Jimi Hendrix was left-handed (AKA superior..hehe), but played a right-handed guitar up-side-down?!
Wow…I can’t even fathom the difficulty of learning it all backwards like that.
• I wish I could afford to go get new glasses. I have insurance, but I can’t even afford the flippin’ co-payment or whatever it is right now. My peepers are strained!
• Well, the time has come for me to go get work done. I have two site layouts that I need to finish before I can relax. I’m hoping they will fly by so I can enjoy being lazy for a while. The weekend has totally flown by!

Stumble It!
I have a red tumbler exactly like that! 8o
Once again, love the blog.
Jimmie Hendrix was an awesome guitarist. :headbang:
I forgot to add: Lola rocks!
Sweet! We have twinsy tumblers!
I’m glad you like the ol’ blog. I’m just waiting to hear how much the guys hate it.
Is it even possible to hate your blog?
Sadly, yes it is.
Well I just tweeted that I have the pink coffee tumbler as well. We should all post pics.
Mine is more like a hot pink, black and silver…bought at the dollar tree. YEY for being elcheapo!! Oh, Karen, your page looks amazing. I love the whole scrapbook/stationary style and yours is off the charts beautiful.
Thank you so much, Sarah!
I really like this look, too. I was telling Lonnie that this is my favorite look so far. I will keep it for a long time, I think.
I just took pics of my tumbler…going to resize & post it!
Thumbs up for the new design, Karen. It looks girly, but in a good way.
^_^
Thanks, EroSan!
I hate the new design.
Hehe. You were waiting. I got it out of the way. I’m thinking of talking about it over on my My.Opera blog…
Hahahaha!
Why not?! Everyone else is doing it!
I know a good idea when I see one!
Too bad you can’t link to them to save your life.
I wouldn’t be the first… more like the 43rd!
Ssssh!
I’m in stealth mode.
I must have better vision than I thought.
I’d better find some pants…
After Labor Day? I still have a modicum of fashion sense!
